Crow Systems - Cameras for Research and Observation Of Wildlife

Warranty:
Crow Systems products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six (6) months from the date of shipment to the original registered owner. In the unlikely event that a problem arises, e-mail (preferred), call, or FAX Crow Systems with a complete description of the problem(s).
Most so-called problems are caused by improper software setup and/or product use, and can usually be solved by carefully reading and following the instructions and user guides.
If the problem is apparently caused by a defect in materials or workmanship and the item is still under warranty, Crow Systems will issue a Return Authorization Number (RAN) prior to return shipment. Ship the item to Crow Systems, including the RAN on the OUTSIDE of the package. Please include a description of any problems experienced, and any other information that might help in troubleshooting the problem. Crow Systems will return - unopened - any item shipped without a valid RAN visible on the OUTSIDE of the package.
Upon reciecpt of a returned item, the items hardware and software (where applicable) will be thoroughly analyzed to identify the cause of any problems and determine if the problem is covered under the warranty. If the problem is found to not be covered under warranty, Crow Systems shall not be responsible for any repairs, replacements, refunds, or return shipping costs. Crow Systems retains the right - at its discretion - to repair, replace, or make a full refund for any defective item covered under warranty.
ALL warranty repairs must be performed by Crow Systems, or a repair service authorized in writing by Crow Systems. Any unathorized repairs or attempted repairs will invalidate all warranties.

BATTERIES and Battery-related Failures are Not covered:

Low quality, faulty, abused, or misused batteries may fail in such a way as to cause damage to a product. The warranty above specifically excludes damages caused by any type of battery failure.
If a product has been damaged by battery failure, please contact the battery manufacturer for their repair or replacement policy.

The warranty above specifically excludes damages caused by abuse, mis-use, tampering, or any unauthorized modifications or repairs to the hardware and/or software - particularly - but not limited to - mis-use of the In/Out expansion ports included with many of our products. Damages caused by so-called "Acts-of-God", such as - but not limited to - lightning, floods, high / storm tides, tree falls, ice, animal attacks, and the like are excluded from the above warranty.

There are NO other warranties, expressed or implied, and there is expressly excluded all warrenties of merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose. No other warranty given by any agent, employee, distributor, retailer, or any other person with respect to Crow Systems products shall be binding in any way upon Crow Systems.

Software / Hardware Update Policy:
Crow Systems updates its products to stay current with the latest technological innovations. Crow Systems reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product, if the product ordered has been improved. In no case will a product of inferior quality or value be substitued.
With the exception of warrantee related issues, Crow Systems is under NO obligation to update any product that has already been delivered.
Crow Systems offers free (excluding shipping costs to/from Crow Systems) lifetime software updates for registered owners. In the event of a software update, information regarding the update will be placed on our web-site - see updates page for more information. Owners can choose to send their products in for an update, but shipping to/from Crow Systems shall be paid by the owner. If software updates are required to fix minor 'bugs', Crow Systems will cover shipping costs.
Crow Systems voluntarily offers these software updates/upgrades to product owners, and is under NO obligation to develop further software versions for any product.
Note that when a completely new software version has been developed for a product type, we rarely offer further updates on previous software versions for that product type - with the exception of minor bug fixes.

Technical Support Policy:
Crow Systems has a knowledgeable tech support staff. While our products can be used for everyday purposes, please remember that they are intended for use by professional researchers and field technicians. Many of our products have advanced functions that are best ignored by the casual user. While we do offer free tech support to registered owners, we can not spend hours walking every client through details that are already covered in the instructions and product use manuals.
We can not offer technical assistance on matters not directly related to our products or services.

If you find you do need assistance, please do the following before contacting us:
1) Carefully read all manuals and instructions. In many cases there will be more than one manual (camera, control system, and sensor system might be covered individually).
2) Make sure all connectors are attached properly. Visually inspect for damage and/or debris.
3) Test condition of any batteries with a load-type battery tester. Check battery clips for damage.
4) Make certain all power switches are ON. Several products have more than one power switch.
5) If you still have not solved the problem, e-mail Crow Systems tech support with a detailed description.
